Yin and Yang
I am black, you are white, I am dark, you are light,
you are dominant, unbending, I am compliant, yielding.
My moon shares the sky with your sun,
darkness needs the moon and stars.
You are a fast flowing river, I am a tranquil pool,
but your river can slow, my pool can ripple.
You motivate and inspire, I create and apply,
you can be me, I can be you, we intertwine.
Two halves that together create wholeness,
each sustains the other, balance and harmony.
My coolness can calm your intense heat,
my rain extinguish your furious fire.
But weights on scales can be uneven,
moon concealed behind clouds,
fire raging too fast to be extinguished,
dense mist obscuring morning sun.
New day dawns, darkness dispelled,
moon leaves the stage, making way for sun.
Sunlight melts into moonlight, heat becomes cool,
Yin embraces Yang, equilibrium restored.
