************************
We buried him under the large yew tree, We all wore thick face masks as they should be. The shade of the green yew tree was pleasant. Yet we all knew the poison there present. It was not his wish to bury him there. He died under the tree eating a pear. Little bothering about deadly fumes His mind elsewhere humming her loving tunes. The yew yielded a deadly red berry, Fell on the white pear, tasted like cherry. They spied him there, dead, under the yew tree. All left to enjoy the breath of the sea.

WoW Victor. You never fail to deeply impress. I have never seen a Yew tree but if this is a picture of it they are beautiful trees. Are they really poisonous? Nicely done. Congrats on a well deserved piece. God Bless, JB

It seems I'm not the only one learning the history of the 'Yew' tree. While many trees bear good fruit, there are some that cause death. Always be careful. There's a lesson within your words. This is sad and tender, all at the same time. Congratulations Victor, on Poem of the Day. I hope you're doing well, my dear friend. Hugs, Brandy

Yew, would make a fine mystery tale, with the Yew tree the culprit! Glad to see you back! Robert
