Yet There Be Great Peace and Quiet There

Yet There Be Great Peace And Quiet There Yet there be great peace and quiet there just beyond meadows fair World revolts, I long not to care my solitude I do not share As ill winds besiege a fallen spirit Sweet calm, I feel near it Afternoon doves speaking I hear it there - tis nothing- do I fear it My oasis, my hidden abode relaxing, drop my heavy load Sorrow upon this weary road selfish me, or so I am told Yet there be great peace and quiet there Yet there be great peace and quiet there Robert J. Lindley, 7-25-2017 Sonnet (Nature, a hidden sanctuary found)

You are a master of the sonnet Robert. I read each one with purpose hoping to improve. I love your choice of rhyming in this poem. Especially lines 5 - 8. Peace to you, Dean
