Beautiful, stunning words flow
From a pen that is soothed
By nouns, verbs and adjectives
Adverbs that are stifling,
Silky, soft words that whisper
Through innocent verses
I hope they remember to haunt
Their reader with good memories
And compassionate phrases
Melancholy that often favors
The long rhymes that complete
A feeling of disturbing despair
Moody words that betray the
Writer’s yearning for a secret
Prayer to the creator for something
Richer and more alive with words
That will not die or be forgotten
Words that fly off the page and
Rip through the mind toward the
Heart and soul, words that have
Purpose and truth behind them
~
Words that promise to the reader
A sense of intuition that knows
Just what to say – where to begin
And then, too, where to end!
