Wondering Minds Wander
Saturday night, incognito, sneaky
Easter bunny’s nameless delivery.
Early Sunday morning, April Fools' Day,
mysterious bag graces my front door.
I’m wondering, must be our new neighbor.
In church, my mind wanders out of focus
Before dinner at my son's, I notice
sixteen-year old, introspective, silent
twelve-year old, incredulous, secretive
four-year old, ingenuous, straightforward
Today's Easter bunnies come in all sizes.
