Without You

The earth did move Tore through our hearts Heaving us miles apart I see you sometimes Across the divide With a wife Two beautiful daughters Assured in my heart That I played my part As sad as I will always be Your happiness The lives you have made Mean everything to me

It's always best to move on and forgive what must be forgiven. Imperfections assail us all. Nicely expressed, Maureen.

One of the most beautiful, thoughtful and love filled poems about a lost love I have ever read Maureen. This one really touched me. I completely understand this.

Ty, that means so much. It just wrote itself, after posting "With You", well, having almost twelve years to stew the words probably quite desperate to get out ;)

Great sentiment Maureen and I wish I could be as forgiving as you, my heart still aches for the one who got away.

Oh I still ache. Love aside for the best friend, I still hope to some day be able to talk past pleasantries; maybe in another decade or so ;)
