Within These Walls

Within these walls a rift exists;
a cancer grows and pain persists;
it won’t be long ‘til curtain falls;
a rift exists within these walls.

Dark clouds now form within our sphere
perhaps a sign, the end is near.
For sure it means impending storm
within our sphere, dark clouds now form.

Opposing sides within same spread
as Dems and Reps go head-to-head
and cause these everchanging tides
within same spread, opposing sides.

It’s up to you the time is now;
roll up your sleeves and wipe your brow,
and compromise opposing view;
the time is now, it’s up to you.
