Wistful

Why do I have moments of restless mind my strong will could not calm or quiet down with stillness, self-awareness, putting me in a wistful mood, feeling sad, blue, melancholy? Neither I am worried nor anxious, I do not have too much on my plate, I sleep well and I do things I truly like and enjoy. Yet, my mind keeps going round and round while doing paperwork, house chores and even writing, yes, writing. Dancing, singing and reading can stop my racing thoughts for I am in a trance when I am dancing, I am in the moment when I am singing and I am on my toes when I am reading crime and romance mysteries, legal fiction, action, thriller. I feel wistful that writing could not even tame my racing mind, when one way to manage restless mind is to write my thoughts and feelings on paper for it is therapeutic for overactive mind. Here I am with wistful thoughts for writing could not help me. With wistful smile, I am penning my thoughts, my feelings. Thoughts of what am I looking for, what am I searching when I don’t even know what it is and feelings of lacking, missing something I don’t know… wistful thoughts over and over …
