Wishes

If wishes were diamonds…
My heart would out shine the starlit night.

If wishes were rubies…
Our love would burn throughout time.

If wishes were pearls…
Translucent ropes would forever bind us.

Wishes are born by the open heart.
For a moment they provide hope,
But then hang suspended in time..
                   Waiting, always waiting.

An incredibly beautiful poem of longing. I am hoping your wishes come true, all of them. For truly, your spirit shines through every poem you write, and it is obvious you are indeed all those gems combined, creating one brilliant, colorful star. Love, Shar

Barbara, your "Wishes" are gems. If we have no wishes, no hope, we drift without suspense, losing the magic life offers. Hope you are doing well and I want to wish you a Happy Easter! Love, Carolyn
