Wisdom From Trees

Yesterday I took a walk in a nearby forest, I needed to get away. I felt a cool breeze, I heard a soft sound. Could it be the trees were talking to me, was it my imagination. Then I looked around, their leaves were making mulch for the pretty flowers. Birds were singing in their homes, their nests tucked into their branches. Squirrels were scampering up the trees, hiding their nuts in the tree holes. The wisdom from the trees were, we make pretty flowers~homes~are a food storage place. Humans should be more grateful and respectful of trees. I love trees and find them to be very inspiring and I can't imagine the world without them. Love your poem and it's good to meet you, Paula.

Trees give us a whole lot of gifts.... but the ungrateful men not only fail to show ample gratitude, but cruelly destroy them. A good poem emphasizing the importance of trees. Best of luck in the contest, Paula
