Wisdom Found In Looking Back

Wisdom Found In Looking Back Ages ago, what fish might one have dared caught, with bright rainbow nets and stronger bone hooks. Adventure found , was such too highly bought living so wild- rips more than shown in books! Casting nets to gather more the huge blasts, nights of love and mornings with deep remorse. Nothing-not a damn loved thing ever lasts yet one never knows Fate's wide, hurling course. And such fine fish, spread in such glowing pools, each always ripe to be plucked in due time. Love lost, bitter pain for romantic fools always searching for new land, better clime. What of the deeper pools one never finds saddest regrets, eat old and lonely minds. 6-09-2016

Robert this is a most enjoyable metaphor filled sonnet. It demanded multiple readings and thought - thank you for that. Thank you for participating in the contest.

Well Done my friend. A bit defeatest but well written. What of the deeper pools one never finds. Yes, what of them. What of the fish never caught. But what about the pools you have found and the fish you have caught. Think on these things . Great job here. A seven from me. God Bless, JB
