Its sad that they look so pretty with their brilliant colors, then they fall and go all brown and crispy and blow away or make a mess. But your poem is upbeat and happy and I liked it Bill.

Fall, the first sign of death. Yes, its bright and pretty early on, the later brown and depressing and winter covered land is like a graveyard to life. In case you can't tell, I love summer!

I recently turned 70 leaving behind the fall of my life and sprang into septuagenarianism thinking nothing would change. Winterarrives whether I'm ready or not. The changing of the season to which you refer tell me I best prepare recognizing that I can no longer live with the false propositions and truths in the afternoon of my life. For what was once great in the morning will be little at evening and what in the morning was true, at evening it will become a lie no longer serving me.
