thank you, kind Sotto, for your enthusiastic and sincere comments. Your words mean a great deal to me, and I'm grateful you found my poem breathtaking. I love 'capturing' nature the way some people do with a camera, if that makes sense. Have a great evening, your poetess friend in Texas, Sara

You capture the images of winter perfectly in your haiku.. Sounds very cold and it is getting colder here in the UK... and the northern wind is always colder..

thank you, Silent One, for your complimentary words. Yes, it does sound cold...not that cold yet here in Texas...but when the 'blue northers' arrive with their gusty north winds, the winter days are brutal. We experienced one just a couple of days ago, hence the inspiration for the Haiku. Have a splendid day, Sara

thanks for your visit, Yann...Texas does get brutally cold but not until January or February...remember the winter of 2021 when the whole state of Texas was in darkness after a winter storm. A few days ago a 'blue norther' blue in bringing strong, gusty northerly winds...with a feel like temperature of 29 degrees...hence the inspiration for the poem. Thanks for your comments and visit. Have a splendid day, Sara

Very interesting. Isn't it odd how much quieter winter is than summer? I also enjoyed the photo.

Dear beautiful sara, what a gorgeous picture to go with your haiku: I absolutely love this haiku as always. And im looking forward to seeing winter this year through your beautiful words. You always show us all the beauty of every season through your poetic and seamless word weaving, i love the way this one flows with such descriptive diction too. Especially the last line hits deep: sending you light always. Pleasure reading this

you're so kind, Ink. Your complimentary words touch me and inspire me to write more about each season. Will do :-) I've learned to pause and reflect as I embrace each season, even winter, which isn't my favorite. I seem to be cold all the time...until the end of February. I try not let my feelings interfere with my observations..if that makes sense. Thanks for your gracious words. Appreciate you, hugs, Sara

Dear Sara, the wind of winter sends a chill, indeed. The scenery is beautiful, but I enjoy warmer weather. Stay bundled up, my dear friend. Many wonderful blessings to you. :) Hugs, Brandy
