it is snowing
and I press my palm against my heart . . .
I am holding in an awful ache and p a i n
I have for years and
my soul is stone COLD and bleeding ice
snow is f a l l i n g and melting into tears
and each year at this time
I have Winter blues . . .
weeping echoes are fading away, and
those dead will be forever and ever- I w h i s p e r
to them- and place a RED rose to my lips
and leave it d y i n g on their tomb
inside me is this horrid emptiness
and a dagger has been PLUNGED into my heart
and frozen there forevermore . . .
I cannot not fathom a life without my- b e l o v e d
but I must go on
and snow is FALLING and melting into tears . . . .
