Winter Blues

Winter’s calming twilight Instills a sense of awe, Nestling together in the quiet, Trying to tease the fire to draw. Ever in the solemn night Reminiscing of the thaw. Baleful loss of sun and light Leaves our hearts cold and sad. Unless Winter soon takes flight Ever in wool we will be clad! Spring will grant a greener sight.

Thank you Kim. Not much use for wool in Texas but was happy for it in Colorado! :)

A soothing poem, Linda. One to be read again and again when winter clings. I don't know where you live, but if it's in California, I pity you. CA has withstood brutal fires, winds, rains, snows, more rains--it doesn't end. Government says it can control weather--then FIX IT!

I live in Texas Ann. The worst weather threats in my part of Texas are high winds and tornadoes. :)
