Who will you allow me to be if I am not yours to keep?
I yearn, I toss, and I turn at night with a broken sleep.
Let me be the one who makes your sorrows disappear.
I found that I can’t breathe unless I know that you are near.
I'll hold onto you when nightmares hold you to your fears.
I am nearby when you cry, to wipe away your mournful tears.
I am here to fill your emptiness with many joyful delights.
I am there to comfort you on your most darkest nights.
Without you I am lost, I am not myself, I find that I am torn,
I am now falling, and you are not there, you are too worn.
I am the one, it was what I thought, and not Tika nor Samone.
I cared when your mind was gone, withdrawn and so alone.
Because of you I will have to reinvent myself forevermore.
I am nothing to you, and I can’t recognize myself anymore.
It is time to separate the us, for our song has been sung
In the distance a voice calls out to me, I am not the one.
