Poet's note for *teacup-for-two*: derived from the title “Tea for Two” a romantic song about the joy of being together with the one you love.
*For the purpose of my poem, the term 'teacup-for-two' represents the cozy return of sensual privacy, intimacy and connection between the two (empty-nester) lovers.

You wrap yourself in the feather boa fantasy of his dreams sinuous you; X-rated and never sated dancing to rock ‘n roll— 80’s dated welcome to the conjugal jungle of not-so-rusted lust sixty-something-shapely your 25th anniversary groom growls a naughty thought “you could make a young stud sizzle if you cougar-purred and preened.. ..half-your-age ‘prey’ would pray for a pounce!”— ooh! naughty indeed! your husband’s a spicy silver-haired fox alright! but you know.. on this night… in the right light white wine flying your inhibitions like a cloud-kissing kite ..that he’s right your feline hips and rib cage swing slink and circle like a gold ring gone feral at the end of a gossamer chain — imagination game— his hypnosis a sexy prognosis metal music rides the track —fast— an insane train suede stiletto booties bring the heat as your naked heart beats —fast— a cyclone metronome beneath man-handfuls of jelly-jiggle lingerie cupped and pushed up confection affection his sugar-craving r a v i n g as you gyrate scantily you—a flirty empty-nester a w-i-l-d flower of natural nectar your home once again a “teacup-for-two” a juicy seduce-y l-o-v-e nest your body rocks and talks dirty to him— skin-tight rhymes in rhythmic undulations snakey-hips hype your shimmy-shiver-vibrations with an abracadabra of torso twizzle excitations and the flaxen-magic of hair-tossing persuasions Ooo—sensuous you! sixty-something-shapely you ain’t no side-saddle gal—noooo… long black gloves hug porcelain skin the t a n t a l i z e in his eyes your prize as you peel satin fabric off slowly— turning your gloves and his desire inside out… you bump and grind his mind into overdrive and collect his caught breaths like paper presidents in the stripper strings of your ‘Saturday night persona’— your persona; only thing you still wear (by your last glass of wine) ..that.. and black booties stiletto-stealth— killer calves curvy beneath a black leather garter; it’s silver-trinket-links draping your thigh celebrate their oneness with your movements with ‘glass-clink’ chinks and champagne-bubble-glints —s p a r k s e l e c t r i c— your angelic sinful wink flashes neath lush lashes in candlelight as you leave the dining-room-dance-floor leading him by the white-hot boa to your pink bed

WOW! I love the untethered spirit of the poem. Age a non-factor as the passion of the youthful self still strives to be acknowledge and embellished by the partner of their dreams. Very engaging poetry, I never felt the urge to stop reading. The foreplay was fun and the thought of such an evening was enjoyable. I assume you read minds, or you just had to say it. :-) Thanks for sharing your thoughts through your poetry, Suze. That was a fun read. Bill

What a great love poem. I was born in the war and still knew Tea for Two so well. A lovely song like your lyric. Besides, I love tea, not coffee. Well done.

Dear Susan, you definitely have a very unique way of writing and delivering thoughts in such impeccable manner, i love the lyrical cadence of this , it reads like a song, and i can hear a captivating tune as i read your artistic wordplay. I love the way you’ve written so many lines in this, especially “ stiletto-stealth— killer calves curvy beneath a black leather garter; it’s silver-trinket-links “ whoa! It also has a very sensual and passionate touch to your lines, as always! Poetic brilliance

Dearest Susan my wonderful sexy friend, I love this hidden talent you wrote for us and even gave it hubby to read who enjoyed it too. Your imagination runs wild, this write is red hot, in fact sizzling would be more apt, the sensuality , the passion and seduction that empty nesters enjoy is the freedom they suddenly find themselves in, a fantasy world they often dream or fantasize about. Of course older people enjoy wild sex as much as younger folk as Richard says, and you captivate this so Imaginatively and eloquently. My lovely friend I miss you and wish you and your much loved family an awesome 2024, Much love and many hugs and blessings, Jennifer

Dear Susan, this fantastic poem around the sensuality and passion of a mature woman as she celebrates her 25th wedding anniversary, explores the intimate and playful nature of their relationship, as well as the woman's confidence and allure as she seduces her husband. You used vivid and evocative imagery to convey the moments. The word choice is rich and sensual, with phrases like "feather boa fantasy," "slinky-hips," and "flaxen-magic" painting a vivid picture of the sensuality of the poem.

My fantasies co-exist on so many levels with the first stanzas, oh the joy of making them come true. Then the longing, erotic and peaking with futile expectancy are intimately delivered and unwaveringly felt. Your scholarly words consummated with passionate sultry desires, Susan. Hugs~Anaya

An interesting poem Susan and something a bit different from your pen.. I read it a few times and ultimately, "You Wrap Yourself" seems like a celebration of love, desire, and the transformative power of intimacy. Through its lush imagery and lyrical language, it invites readers to explore the depths of human passion and connection, reminding us that true love knows no bounds, not even the passage of time.

I love this. Being an empty nester I can relate. It’s hard for younger folks to realize sexy is not just reserved for the young.
