He loves me a little. He loves me A lot. He loves me passionately. He loves me to madness. He loves me not… He loves her not. He loves her as a wolf howls at a full moon. He loves her with red and purple. He loves her with a kiss. He loves her with a glance and a wish. He’s plucking off petals, scattering them, wanting to come to the end, not…he’s scared. Love, like white ox-tears, trembles from his fingertips. He loves me… She loves me… answer, a daisy 12/8/2022

Oh well, the daisy can't answer him, if only he had the courage to ask her, Kim:)

"He’s plucking off petals, scattering them, wanting to come to the end, not…he’s scared. Love, like white ox-tears, trembles from his fingertips." Strange how humankind's greatest shared feeling (love) is yet the most unfathomable mystery...entangled with all of nature~ blossoms, petals, perfumes -- stinks and weeds. The crystal ball of the daisy...billions of hearts over the ages gazing longingly at those silent petals. Oh could I answer such questions!~ alas, always outside looking in.

When we are young we try so many things to guess love. Love is learned with experience…puppy eyes, pain, lasting, letting go, at last God! Be blessed, dear poet!
