Where We Are
Morning erupts with a familiar ring
wind chimes move and robins sing
pages turned and lessons learned
where we came, where we were
Eyes stay shut with visions true
glossy memories of me, of you
daylight calls but I fail to rise
keeping close you deep inside
Wafts linger off a scented breeze
putting my wayward mind to ease
a Dundee dance of spiritual distress
a welcomed arrival so elegantly undressed
and where mystery engulfs fantasy
her lips leap off into my chapters
tearing me out . . .
one single page
at a time
