When Moon Wades Silently Across Night Sky

When Moon Wades Silently Across Night Sky When moon wades silently across night sky And that hush spreads across this dark city We oft sleep safe and never wonder why Some sleep in alleys finding no pity They that are so lost and their Hope faded Live their sad lives in a slow moving haze Bitter in pain, outlook dim and jaded With hollow eyes and far-off vacant gaze As dawn breaks and morning coffee hot-brews Thanking God's grace you are given such gifts For only One paid all your heavy dues Why not today, your fellow man uplift Hold back any and all useless crying Help a lost soul, save a life from dying Robert J. A great write with great meaning Robert; I know many street people and help when I can, they open the door for the opportunity of Good Charity but so many overlook that giving is receiving. :-)

Thank you my dear friend. These last few weeks have proved to be very tiring to me and my ongoing memory problems greatly increased. Yes, charity should be with thoughts and with actual deeds. God bless you for helping those in need....

THANK YOU MY FRIEND. I AM SORRY FOR THIS VERY LATE REPLY. I forget so much these day... checking my older poems is one of them..

How beautifully and warmly expressed. Is it right to profess brotherly love and then ignore the plight of others who 'sleep in alleys finding no pity'? I love your poem Robert. A 7:)

Thank you my friend. Yet what is pity if it is just a mere fleeting thought? As pity needs positive action taken more than just sadness at the sad plight of others less fortunate. Far too many in this dark and hectic world do neither,IMHO..

Far too many, never think -- but for the love and grace of God there go I... yet they should! Measure of a man is his honor, courage and sympathy for the plight of others, IMHO.
