When Darkness Grows

The time past eve
when darkness grows,
and stars arrive 
in velvet carriage,
'tis a time of lending
dreams to romance,
as gentle kisses prosper,
lifting hope
for lives entwined;
and hearts remember
way beyond
their departing.
