70 Best Motivational Quotes On Overcoming Ego - Motivirus

“You must stop this ruling of me, Please let me go, I must be free.” Smiling, Ego said mockingly, “It’s you who chooses what you’ll be. It’s quite simple for all to see, All my power doth come from thee. In myself, that’s where I invest. I have no say in your request. You’re free to go, to rule your own ship, Give to me the old pink slip. Find the passion that’s within you. Do whatever you love to do. Make life an adventure, a quest. Earn an “A” on life’s biggest test, Live everyday as if your last, Show your real self, take off the mask.”

Love the point of view on this, Bill. Definitely a fresh look at the subject. And a great line about the old pink slip. Unfortunately, the ego doesn't go without work for long; sadly.

You're right there, David. I'm still working on my ego, but I win more than it does these days. Have a great week, my friend. Bill

I've been my greatest challenge most of my life. I've done well at everything I've tried to do, but still never satisfied with my effort or accomplishments. I'm changing now, it's about time. most that know me would being saying if they were reading this poem. LOL Have a great week, my friend. Bill

stimulating, insightful, and wise words, Bill. I loved the start, "Smiling, Ego said mockingly" How often my ego mocks and confuses me with its falsehoods and unsatiable need for power over my spirit. I loved the ending as well about taking off ego's illusionary mask! Well said, hubby, and powerful! hugs, me

Beautiful words, Bill, hope this poem is widely read and understood. If soul would fly, ego that is not must first die.

Satan, the biggest egotist of all. All who display haughty, arrogant, self-willed attitudes ultimately copy him. Much better to subdue the big ego and adopt humility

I agree, Tommy. If I look closely at myself, Not much to get all uppity about. Everything I have has been given to me. I like your thoughts on the subject, Tom. Have a great week, my friend. Bill

You made me giggle, Lin. That's very sweet, my friend. About 95% of the time, I'm a really fine guy, but I fight the other 5% with myself over mistakes and lack of control. lol Still trying though. Thanks for the comment. Have a pleasant week! Hugs, Bill
