What Kindness Makes
Am I more than just a size
Lustrous hair or sultry eyes
Am I not what kindness makes
Living in a world of fakes
Am I more than skin or tone
Yet enhanced by parts unknown
Am I not of brain or wit
Matters not. if I’m not fit
Since I’m not of mass appeal
Only of a face that’s real
Does my value carry weight
Happiness then set to wait
What a world that cares for nought
Souls with pain or scarring fraught
Character, an honest choice
Doesn’t seem to have a voice
Am I more than just a size
Yes, If I have opened eyes
I will have what kindness makes
Every ounce of love it wakes
