What Does the Dog Think
What does the dog think
All summer long we do whatever we want,
moving together as one,
sleeping, snoring, hanging out, best pals.
Then work starts back up, and I desert her every day,
leaving her with a man who loves her, and feeds her half his food
including his candy.
He says she lies on the back of the couch all day, looking out the
window, waiting for me to return.
We fall into the same pattern year after year.
How does she feel about me deserting her for nine of the months?
What does the dog think?
