Welcome To the Real World NZ
We thought we were better than the rest,
That somehow we were more special,
And others only should pay the price,
That we were too peace loving,
For a Terror attack to dare to disrupt the ebb and flow here.
The recipe for disaster is the same everywhere,
First let a person isolate themselves from reality,
To let imaginary wounds fester,
With no friends to sooth their troubled brow,
What else can one expect,
But a ticking time bomb.
There is nothing left now, now but to pray,
That we can keep our comments light,
And our humanity to the fore,
As we look for doors and windows to open,
And more welcome mats to place in front of doors.
