Watching the Waves Crash
My mind was a scattered mess,
but then you saved me
you yearned for my attention
and there I stood
gazing at your rough waves
imperfect just like me
crashing head on against the rocky bottom
we have something in common
we deal with life's challenges head on
crashing into the unknown
waiting for everything to roll out
be the same as it was,
but it will never be -
every crash takes something new away
and leaves behind a memory
