PS - your rhyme is a very clever way of helping people with the correct pronunciation of the artist's name - very clever. Joe

Barbara, I have indeed stopped and gazed at this piece. Absolutely stunning in its detail and girth. I love this painting - and your poem is a nicely written ekphrasis around this piece of art. Well done. Joe

Now there's a piece of art that excites Americans. It truly reflects the struggles our forefathers went through to make us a free nation. Excellent choice and a riveting poem! Best wishes in the contest, dear LNC. Love, Carolyn
