Wall

I shouted but you heard nothing; I made my presence known, but I was still invisible to you. I cried a river of tears and you didn’t see a trace of them. I gave you my heart and all you saw was a heart of stone. I reasoned with you to my utmost ability, but you wouldn’t negotiate. And at the end of the day we shouted at the same time, and we spoke to be heard and not understood, there- fore we hit a gigantic wall that wouldn’t budge. Alexis Y. 6-25-20

It is very sad when a brick wall is built in any relationship to the extent, that one is not interested in listening to the other's point of view and heartache - brilliantly penned. Blessings and hugs, Jennifer.

Brilliant insight, Alexis! Divining truth often requires silent observation. Great poem ... an instant fave. May love and peace rest upon you always.

Hello Alexis Y., I also dike walls. You know sometimes people do not want to talk.So whatever bothers them builds up into a wall only that person can see. Enjoy your evening my friend.

A relationship is all about compromise and meeting in the middle until you can do that the wall will always be there. Hope you're OK. Tom
