Wall
I shouted but you heard nothing;
I made my presence known, but I
was still invisible to you.
I cried a river of tears and you
didn’t see a trace of them.
I gave you my heart and all you
saw was a heart of stone.
I reasoned with you to my utmost
ability, but you wouldn’t negotiate.
And at the end of the day we shouted
at the same time, and we spoke to
be heard and not understood, there-
fore we hit a gigantic wall that
wouldn’t budge.
