Isaiah Sixty One Seven: June 2020

I’ve heard others talking as if He were dead, But He rose to give life to others instead. I’m only one, small it may seem, But He died and He rose my life to redeem. And likewise, for you He was crucified, Don’t make it for naught that He died. Accept His offer, redemption of sin, And the Spirit He left us will live within. For He arose, a place to prepare, He went ahead until we get there. Eternity awaits us, to praise His name, Through Jesus our Savior we stake our claim. The Father has blessed us by giving His Son, Through Him the final victory is already won.

Well-executed sonnet, Bill. (Pun intended, I'm afraid. I just can't resist sometimes...). Lovely penning and messaging, my friend. ~ Peace on Earth; goodwill to men

Until we get there :) Bill, this is so wonderous. I love your poem, and the image you shared which reminds me that even as the disciples watched the heavens as He went up, we now, in our hearts watch for His return. He will come again! You are right, He did not die for naught, but endured the cross, for us. This poem lifted my heart. A fave :)

What a sight that would have been. Could they even take it all in? Before they knew it, he returned to heaven. When we see Him, what a day that will be! Love the pic too!

Thanks, Kim, I do wish more people would just consider the gift that is being offered by our Creator God. Thanks for the comments, my friend. The sound of the Trumpet and His return will be as dramatic of the star the wise men saw. I can hardly wait. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

Just wonderful Bill, a poem to be read out in church. I love spiritual poetry and have written many over the years and was once asked to do a poetry reading at a church meeting, was very nervous but it went down well. Pal Belle

I appreciate your spiritual creation and reminder, Bill. He sacrificed for us and we've been blessed with life eternal. Sometimes, then, I ask myself, why do I allow discontent to enter my heart and soul? Am I not grateful enough to push aside discontent? Why do I focus on the little things. Your poem has given me pause, dear hubby. Thank you for your words...hugs from me to you

Sadly, we live in an increasingly skeptical and apathetic world Bill. Many here are anti Bible. Still, your message will resonate with a few appreciative hearts. Have a restful eve

I understand, Tom. Just putting it out there for those undecided souls that haven't been exposed to the story, and for assurance to those that have and accept it of true. I appreciate your thoughts and comments, Tom. Have a great day! Bill
