Velvet Rose
no gust of wind shall break this silent sleep
nor the rolling clouds of Autumn's relentless rain
touch the slumber of a simple man's dream
for silent visions beyond the hill of gold
meet the horizon where eternity softly roams
as I call a simple love through the wind blown tree's
the fluttering breeze sets velvet rose petals
around my lover's feet
in a breath of silence
again
i wake to dream
