I was feeling down today
so, I went out and purchased three flowers
just three
in shades of pink, purple and violet
their centers yellow
and each had eight delicate petals
open wide
I cut their long stems
and placed them in a short clear glass vase
with just enough water
and placed them in my bedroom
they brightened up the room
though there was no sun
and the sky was gloomy winter gray
they really were delightful
so soft and soothing to my soul
amazing how three flowers
can change a mood
