Valentine Wishes
Somebody knowing my loneliness
And fearing my day could be hard,
Sent me a loving, tender thought
Attached to a Valentine card.
Someone, (and you know who you are)
Took the time to remind me of
The days of not so long ago
When I had my own true love.
When I was assured of adoring words
Or roses in sweet bouquet;
Ardor tied up in a warm caress
On every Valentines Day.
Weep not for me, I’ve known the thrill
Of a love that was good and true,
And now my gentle and faithful friends,
I wish the same for you.
Love, from Joyce
