Vagabond Dreams

As I lay here in this empty box cart I have no destination in my mind. I just go where the wind takes me. Vagabond is what I am to the core. Life is so blase, it is what it is. I lie here with vagabond hopes and vagabond dreams; life is purpose free. I have no destination as I roam and roam these big vast wastelands. So when you see me on the street or an empty box cart don’t mind me because I barely exist anyway. 11/20/21 * I wrote this for Constance’s contest but I was too late. Alexis Y.

Alexis, so sorry you missed my contest, for your poem would for sure have placed well. I love it. I used to live near a train track and would lie in bed listening to the train whistle and wish I could go with it not knowing the destination, purpose free ~ love and serenity _Constance

Occasionally, I wonder the existence of a vagabond. Your poem captures the essence so very well Alexis! I don't think it's the live for me and interesting to contemplate , Happy Monday xxoo

WoW! what a sad and lonely person is this vagabond. I usually see a vagabond as one who is just traveling to travel and has no place to really be so he is never lost. Just enjoying the moment. A fine write my friend showing the other side of the coin. God Bless, JB

To some people, observing life is more entertaining than living it . . .Enjoyed!

So sad to see scenes like that in our modern societies, more needs to be done to help the less fortunate. Hope you're keeping well Alexis. Tom

Such a pity you missed the contest Alexis, I’m sure this one would rank pretty high, no destination in mind and nobody notices anyway, like a tumbleweed on the Great Plains, cheers David
