Upstairs Downstairs

The snowflakes falling
A wind is blowing
It is a blizzard
Hard to walk or drive
Parking lots full of snow
Hard to park a car

Walking in deep snow
Stairs filled with snow
Difficult to walk up
Or down stairs
Steps need to be cleared
After the blizzard storm

Hello John, we had a snowfall last night. They closed the schools. Because they said it would be a snow storm. Yet it turned out to be a regular snow fall. Give it time the snow will come. John. Enjoy your day my friend John.

I know we can wax lyrical about snow but this piece is truthful about the impact a snow storm has on our daily lives, it creates all sorts of problems. Nicely considered…Delice

Hello Paula Goldsmith, Yes heavy snow is hard to clear. It makes shoveling snow slower. Walking in the deep snow is hard to get the balance you need to walk in the deep snow. Thank you. Hugs.

It seems a challenge to live with blizzard conditions. Your poem tells me the daily grind involved...it sounds like a huge challenge. My sympathies. However, a wonderful poem like this came out of that nasty blizzard. Bravo!

In a real cool winter, we may see a couple of flakes...I think I can recall only once in the last 30 years where I actually saw snow on the ground in Phoenix. And it was Christmas day of all things! What a treat! If I get on my rooftop, I can see snow on the mountains some 50 or so miles to my north.
