I smiled when I saw fire's embers - each one creating, drawing heat. Pull one of those fiery members, it goes cold; bonfire less complete. The human body, every part: the liver, fingers, lungs and heart perform their functions for the whole - each serves its crucial, valued role. A bonfire's embers made me smile, receiving heat and giving back. The fire seemed less complete when I pulled out one member, going cold. Metaphors teach community: a diverse, thriving unity. [Charonnet variation of the sonnet]

Congratulations John on your HM! This is one blazing hot Charonnet of beautiful images and stunning metaphor. Seems like there were a number of us who had a stanza that was a "little off." Harvest blessings!

Intriguing parallel of the bonfire to the human body, how it burns brightly when working together, also love the message of 'diverse unity' - bravo!
