Unicorns Are Real
I brought two six-year-old girls to my office to play an alphabet game.
They needed experience, and I like to pretend I am doing something.
They were to match the letter with the picture of something that started with the letter.
Not so easy when you are six, for it is a puzzle, and if you get it wrong, it does not fit.
A-B-C-D-E-F-G They sang, loud and proud, little sing-song way
It was adorable
By the time they got to H they had to sing the A-B-C song
Each time, so they knew what letter to find next.
They were loving this. One said, “Hey! A bunny! My favorite animal!”
The other one said, “A unicorn is my favorite animal.”
“Are unicorns real?” I asked.
“Oh, yes!” They both agreed. “A long time ago,” one added.
Adorable rarely comes any more rapidly than
Two six-year-old girls singing the A-B-C- song
Twenty times, so they get the puzzle right.
I was pleased I had thought of it!
