Don't fight true passion living in your heart,
Attracted like a moth to scorching flame,
Try as you may, but you shall never tame,
You'll fail and fall before you even start.
Rise from the embers to begin as new,
Your soul a phoenix, burning in the night,
In darkest hours illuminate so bright
All rainbow spectrum colours that pass through,
Land at your desk, begin to understand
How burning bright can be a brand new day
In scratching strokes of pen on paper white
With craftsmanship, you guide your doubting hand
Write all your fears, write inner pain away
Let poems and music guide you to the light
(Iambic Pentameter)
