Tribute To An Orphan

Exuding faith fortitude midst gracious beauty Asserting, "If I perish, I perish*" Saving her kindred against wicked annihilation Setting aside comfort for others' welfare Beseeching help and mercy from Almighty For truth prevalence she did cherish Withstanding persecution brought by racial discrimination... Praise God for Queen Esther's care.
*Esther 4:16 “…If I perish, I perish." (King James Bible) October 7, 2020 2nd place, "IN PRAISE OF THE ODE" Contest Sponsored by Nette Onclaud; judged on 10/15/2020.

The story of Esther is one of my favorites, Beata. You have done her courage, and her story, justice. I often think, in the end, this is a love story - love of a king for his queen, the love of a queen for God and her nation, the love of God for his covenant people. Congratulations and blessings my friend.
