Barbara, I absolutely love this poem. Personification is a powerful tool in the poet's toolbox and you used just enough to make this work "pop". Brilliant work. Congrats on making the winners list....................S.Ronthorpe

The incredible durability of even a small flower against what nature and us humans throw at them is simply stunning. If half of us showed heart like a Buttercup, Daisy etc. We would strive to stand proud like them, sadly, even a small flower out blooms us humans. Praise be the flower. Terrific poetry Barbara :) have a great weekend, hugs 4 U XXX

Congratulations on your win Barbara. It's not safe for a flower to be growing through the cracks of a pavement.

Talk about beauty, there is life within this write! I love how you brought about the city and a lone flower in a sidewalk crack. Then the quick feet, how they "Trample" the flower, but yet it still lives and in beauty! That story is totally awesome! I really enjoyed this poem this evening! Great Work!!
