To Walk Away
If the time has come
For me to walk away
To leave a love
That you'll not save
Will the tears that flow
Be on display
When I turn to leave
On this darkest day
When the sun won't rise
And the winter comes
As a river flows
From the saddest eyes
If the time has come
For me to walk away
Would you leave a smile
For the memories
Could you pause awhile
In the setting sun
As I leave a kiss
Where there now is none
And warm the heart
Of a troubled fool
Who lost a love
That once was you
