To Still the World
To tremble, kiss a mouth in fever
As first breath melts into silence
To free the longing spirit from the cold
And bond every moment
To still the world, profound
How deep love's eyes seem in their measured time
When quiet becomes the universe found
And softer touches bridge the distance known
As the sturdy walls come tumbling down
This sweet tender kiss
warmed by the heart's beating pulse
frees the soul within
releasing its passion kept
to honor the love that's shared
