Shortened version and translation of Pablo Neruda's love poem from his 100 Love Sonnets (In English) See Spanish in the box above:

I love you without knowing how,
or when,
or from where.
I love you straightforwardly,
without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way

than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

MY Poem Inspired by translation above for For Malabika Ray Choudhury's Inspired By A Translation Poetry Contest

To love you is easy. I love you when I wake and see the sunlight streaming on your face. You are my shining grace. To love you is easy. At any hour of day It doesn't matter when or where or why. You are my sweetest sigh. To love you is easy. I love you in the night, and even as we sleep, you enter my dream - my heart's golden moonbeam. Dec. 7, 2021 For A Strand (1053) Poetry Contest

I like his work. I have read some on the internet. Reads like a good contender to me. I never did find another one for the contest. I haven't felt like doing anything since Sunday. I hope that this is going to be a turn around on illnesses though. Thanks for stopping by my page. Sara
