This is a story about murder, I will tell you how and why I did it,
The fog draped the sea in the morning and the air was cool;
I could hear the crash of the sea through the mist, the ever restless sea,
Wild soaring birds were a chorus of musical sounds above in the new sky.
Oh, the liquid murmur of the shore where I put my boat in,
Foamy white caps danced around me and waves pushed me;
I was on my way to the vast emptiness of the uncharted mysterious blue,
Soon a breeze was carrying me far into the cobalt cold unforgiving water.
I looked over the side of my little boat into the deep indigo depths,
There was an endless horizon and the sun just peeking above;
And soon I was lost in the waves and my raven hair flows down tangled,
I am a fragile soul, scarred and broken, my life ravaged with deep sorrow.
My journey weather-stained and it is time to end this suffering,
A fatal letter in a bottle wings its way into the sea, it floats away
Years are withered hours like leaves decaying, breathless I jump into the blue,
Down into the depths of cold blue and then- I suffer no more . . .
My hair is as soft as a spiders web around me and I am falling,
Eyes like the eyes of a statue and my soul floats into a lagoon;
For the sea has no fences and around me is an emerald jungle growing,
And the beach is sugar white and I can see fields of lovely wildflowers.
Oh, reader do not weep for me for I am now part of the sea,
Listen on the shores and I will be that faint breeze that caresses;
I have found my peace at the bottom of the sea for I have lost all that I love,
This is the murder of me and I have told you the how and the why I did it.
