Three Wishes

I wish sometimes I could be young again
Without the cares and burdens that I lug
How grand to live it over, way-back-when
But then I'd never have my kids to hug
I wish that I could bring an end to death
But life would not be precious anymore
And everything we value breath-to-breath
Is made so by the things that we abhor
I dream about what three wishes could bring
But I might wish away all I've been through
And tho' I've erred, I wouldn't change a thing
So I think I'll give my wishes ... all to you!
