Threads of Darkness
These stitches
of darkness
are coming undone
at the seams
i feel the threads
trailing like breath
on the winds
of frigid night
i stand
stranded
in the tangles
of spools of past
unraveling
the knots
trying to mend
the moonless sky
and seal its tears
with fate’s hands
before i seal my eyes
and bid farewell
to this night
wondering
if i will see
tomorrow’s rise
or will time
cut these threads
and take me
through the frays
of darkness
undone
at my own seams
