The essence of our existence is eternal So dead or alive, we always survive We continually come into a form Or out of a form either physical or spiritual We live, continually exist for eternity Either in a physical form or spiritual form Our eternal form is spiritual Our host in the physical world can die or be destroyed Spirit from a state of omnipresence becomes Thought from a place of all possibilities Transforming through intention And is manifested as physical life Eternal energy is present in each state Spirit, thought, intention and manifestation When the eternal energy leaves the physical state It returns to its natural state of Spirit and omnipresence This is the cycle of eternal energy Which is the essence of life, or spirit And the source of all that is manifest And recycled for eternity

More questions you pose and answer here. I have read similar thoughts, yet I am not sure that this is the way it will be. I guess I am too steeped in the dogma of the religion I was raised in and how it will be in the Next "state". I may be dense, but this seems to follow more with reincarnation ideas?

You certainly arn't dense. Andrea. :-) These thoughts could lead to thoughts pertaining to reincarnation, but more likely to thoughts of the essence of our being is spiritual, not physical ... in the spiritual state of being we are eternal. Wherever that may be. :-) Thanks for reading and commenting. I'm going to try and get some writing done soon so I can post some new poem. Hi Bill dear friend very deep thought provoking poem, your verse third from the bottom is my constant thought and absorbs me always. It was Hamlets words which got me thinking Since Ophelias death Hamlet wanted to die but he said, but who has come back to admit or deny that you are still alive after you die , I don't think they knew too much about spirituality but we have to believe this although what hamlet said makes sense. hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Bill, I really liked how you gathered and conveyed an amazing grasp of the timelessness that exists within each of us. On a regular basis, your ideas drift into an area that is above the norm. This superb poem's discussion of cognitive issues leaves plenty for the reader to ponder.
