37 Awesome Quotes That Will Inspire You To Take Risk | The Inspiring ...

Risk has value as an invitation to break through our existing stagnation. Have we given up our precious freedom and invited in, a life of boredom. Could coincidences in life be clues? Are they hints, the direction we should choose? Should we unleash the habits of our past? Should we break them like chains, take risk at last? Our fear has imprisoned us in the known, stealing from us rewards of the unknown. The known is comfort and security. Unknowns’ reward is creativity. Go to where creativity exists. There’s no reward without taking the risk.

Well yes whats purported to be 'a safe thing' Is not always borne out in its working out.! In London there was that terrible grenfell Tower fire..The residents were told to stay in Till help arrived, so nany lives were lost.' If I Remember the same advice was handed out To the dear people in the 'twin towers New York' How debilitating.' And then there were lockdowns, now we have a great fallout mentally physically emotionally, and no one will Accept responsibilty..'

wise and insightful words, dearest Bill. These lines resonated with me and gave me pause: Could coincidences in life be clues? Are they hints, the direction we should choose? I'd not thought of that but I can concur. A challenge at my age to unleash the habits or the past. I enjoy the security they bring. You make a valid point. Creativity is one of the rewards (directly and indirectly) of taking a risk. Wish I could fave your poem--wish others could read it. hugs, me

So true, Bill. Your last line perfectly summarizes your sonnet. I love the lyrical cadence of this poem that emphasize our interior philosophical debates. Wonderfully expressed. If this is for a contest, best wishes. Blessings to you on your quest for "creativity" my Lone Star friend.
