Those Who Are Blind To the Truth

To those who are blinded by a rafter, the ones who bellow in laughter, the ones whose own eyes are cruel... I would stand before you and say, "Stop acting the part of a fool. You sound like a donkey in bray." If I have a straw in my own eye it will dislodge itself when I cry. But I turn and walk away from you while you brandish ugly insults at me. Venom, your mouth continues to spew. All ears hear and eyes are able to see. You, the guilty, will fail to recognize the rafter that's blinding your own eyes. I pity you for the path you choose to walk... one of obstinacy and misguided ways. I'll ignore you when you rant and squawk because you suffer from a form of malaise.

Very good write Lin, a lot of people think they are above the trees and "their" forest is in plain view. Sad.

Thank you, Pete. I agree with your assessment. They think they're above the trees because their nose is up in the air.

"blinkered asses," I just love your terminology, Jan. My pen flows with ink, or blood, as the need requires. Huggin ya back, my friend.

Lin...I'm sorry to read this. It hurts when others are cruel. All I can say is that we will one day have to give account for every thought and word. Good eye opening write, dear. Sending hugs

It's mind boggling that some people never see their own faults but never hesitate to call out others. It's that kind of blindness that mankind suffers. Each of us is responsible for our own actions. I can only pity them and disassociate with those who choose to carry that albatross on their backs. Thanks for reading and your insightful comments, Eileen.
