it's subjective whether it's interesting at all bye bye those that look no further than here nothing mesmerising will be said, cast iron on that it's more about breaking surface tension tiny pockets of vision that create a shock wave when ripples hit and tingles take right to the bed of the river, into feelings and it's a perfect circle and a venn diagram you simply must stand and stare for when the picture of this world scatters you begin to imagine your own or sense it storms push you sideways all good painters and photographers know you absolutely should find perspective: your own all these musts and shoulds, apologies options are available, run for cover maybe? perhaps I'll lie naked next time await the revelations of the effect of rain get soaked beyond the skin clear my mind and my memories there are things that get your blood pumping somewhere in-between, when not too focussed I'm glad we had this talk, you and I it's cleared the air

A good painter and photographer would appreciate the drizzle for the effects it creates. Mesmerizing is the plunk of each drop that causes the intriguing ripples of perfect circles on the river, even if they don't all overlap in sets. Lie naked next time and close your eyes to feel the rain caress your skin. Then, write about those feelings. Your poetry always resonates with me, Dilly.

Haha Lin, I'm not going to even confirm or deny whether I step into the shower naked lol. I questioned whether the line should stay in but thought it was so near the end it's unlikely to be read. I'm no naturist though - I'm always in big boots and full length skirts. Plus we don't have monsoon rains or deserted places... Very little would compel me to ditch my socks - maybe I'll write about that haha :) thanks for your comment

Rain affect different people in different ways. As do paintings. I enjoy this poem.

I’ll never look at rain ripples in the same light again Dilly, I used to love watching them when fishing, but never ever thought of what the venn diagram overlap was perhaps trying to tell me, so much perspective and abstract discernment in this piece, what a comeback from your day of relative obscurity, you delivered big time it’s brilliant, cheers David

Thanks David, can't believe I didn't factor in the fish when writing this one - such a different perspective from their pov. Ahh the tangents I get drawn into - I'm now thinking if they see the sky, then thinking they've have to be lay on their side (never a good sign in a fish). Thanks for your comment, keeps me thinking :)
