The Writer's Secret

Long ago.. in my youthful days You took me, and showed me how I never got over that first daze What you did to me, and even now You relentlessly chase me down My infatuations.. still, I can't hide A fierce hurricane, you surround Until this dreamer takes a ride... Come on, let's see how we collide Yes, rush onto me in every dream Carry irresistible scents of love Until soft whiffs of passion bloom Uncage the beast, release the dove Intoxicate with.. your every breath I'm hopelessly drunk.. your fantasies The amorous tug, who could resist Chance to explore, deep mysteries You relentlessly chase me down My infatuations.. still, I can't hide A fierce hurricane, you surround Until this dreamer takes a ride... Come on, let's see how we collide Your wanton lust for my prolific pen Excited sighs... for my spill of ink We're making love on a bed of white Sweet girl I love.. the way you seek Together, the aroused tensions mount Impassioned climax.. it rises to this Poetic perfection.. feel the release Conceived a poem, in wondrous bliss Always and forever, my true best friend Whether the morning, or into the night I'm still taken.. oh, countless inspiration This grateful writer, awed by your sight And you relentlessly chase me down My infatuations.. still, I can't hide (not one) A fierce hurricane, girl you surround Until this dreamer takes your ride... Come on, let's see how we collide How far.. we can ride this tide Through the day and into the night The writer's secret.. you were my sight My secret... Your sight! ~Lyric Man Note: I wanted to celebrate this writer's secret.. my Muse! She has been by my side since my teens. She's never abandoned me and she whispers sweet inspiration into my soul, even in my dreams. I love her so much, words simply cannot contain the depth!

We get our greatest ideas from the people we hang around with. Everyone is different no one's the same. I think it is awesome that you have some one who gives you this much sight in to yourself.

Been there, done it, so hurts when the heart doth plummet. But your words revived my spirit, true love, my muse, my wife, my life, with her, in her all that's nice. Encore L.M. may you write forever, encore, encore, write on! Mick

WoW! Lyric, I enjoyed this passionate verse. Your muse is amazing. She causes you to write some wonderful lyrics. I really like how you described your muse in such a personal way. You are lucky to say she never left you, I can't say the same ( I think my muse is still on vacation). As always well done:-) Alexis

Ah, yes! Intoxicated with the word! Well penned, Lyric Man. Poets That We Are… "Poets are umbilical cords— chosen links of the pregnant mind and its births—amniotic guardians of the poetic descendent..." "...mere servants of the word..." "When the keyboard, cobwebbed in silence, ceases to ink, let not stillness miscarriage the word; and may our creativity become like Lazarus..." Peace and Love and may our muses remain eternal...seeding the wombs of our fertile poetic minds. Millard Lowe

For sure, Poetry is love, the pitfalls and the elations. It is a marriage of wills, an affair immortal--for poetry, down deep inside we sense, transcends what we are into who we are ever becoming. Great read! Thank you.
